About Greengate

Established in 1991 as Greengate Studio by Eliot Pister as a digital recording facility for local artists and songwriters, Greengate quickly established itself as THE tight-budget recording facility for up-and-comers in the music industry throughout eastern Greater Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. Artists such as Carolyn Dawn Johnson (Arista Records) and the cult-favorite, Mark Brodie (Shredder Records) all got their start within the modest confines of Eliot’s recording studio.
Greengate eventually expanded its range of services to include radio jingles, spoken word productions, scoring and post-production for films, and live recording. Founder Eliot Pister used Greengate as a springboard for his own career as a producer/songwriter as well - releasing 2002’s “Still Life”, 2009’s “30 Weeks” and several songs published by MusicBox Entertainment, Crucial Music, Drama King and SyncFree Music.

Today, Greengate Studio has become Greengate Media, and is focused primarily on the production and licensing of Eliot Pister’s compositions for film, television and radio.
